New varieties on six acres

Last season I tested a novelty in my garden - a pumpkin of the Pearl variety. This is a pear-shaped butternut squash, orange pulp, very tasty. I left three fruits on the bush, they all gained weight about 6 kg. Interestingly, the seeds are located at the top of the fruit. She also grew pear-shaped zucchini. I liked both the first and second new items, I will grow them in the next seasons. And in the greenhouse there was a cucumber-lemon test, there was once an article about it in the magazine "Flora Price". It really resembled lemon in shape, color, and even taste, but there were few fruits, and we didn't really like this plant. But another greenhouse novelty - a tomato of the Emerald Apple variety - pleased. It is also outwardly different from its counterparts: the fruit in biological ripeness is green. And the fruit itself is sweet, sugar, fleshy. I was also pleased with another variety of tomato - snow-white - a very tasty salad variety, high-yielding, large fruits. I tried to grow turnip onions from seeds through seedlings - Globo and Exibishen varieties. The matter, of course, is troublesome, but the result is worth it. True, the 1kg bulbs did not grow, as advertised on the package, but they were quite large. On the whole, almost all of them turned out to be larger than from the set. On the site there is one greenhouse, which we cover with spunbond and grow peppers in it. Another two-slope greenhouse, for tall tomatoes, Two years ago we covered it with a stable one, we don't remove the film for the winter, it passed the test well, in the early spring we sow radishes, dill, onions for greens, lettuce and seedlings of cabbage and flowers there. I sow the remaining space with mustard, its young greens are delicious, and then, when I cook a greenhouse for tomatoes, I dig up all the mustard with the ground. Sometimes I also sow watercress and cilantro in the greenhouse. Almost every gardener has several medicinal plants in the garden. Of course, any such plant of our strip can be transplanted into a garden - a vegetable garden, only it will take up a lot of space. In addition, not all of these plants are decorative, and you want not only benefits, but also beauty. In my garden there are few medicinal plants: yarrow with red and yellow flowers, white double; there is St. John's wort, elecampane, radiola rose or golden root; chokeberry, barberry, sea buckthorn, peppermint and Mexican, lemon balm, catnip, sage, calendula, plantain, dog rose, hawthorn - instead of a hedge, more precisely - this is a hedge from its plants, lilac, viburnum, peony - you can use the rhizome, but this unreasonable - a very beautiful flower, nasturtium. And wheatgrass with dandelion, unfortunately, is also present. So a small "green pharmacy" is always at hand.
