The exhibition-fair "Spring Flora", which opens the season, has already become traditional, which was held from March 1 to March 7 at the Eurasia cultural and exhibition center. The editorial board of our magazine also took part in this exhibition. And also, by good tradition, on March 5, on Saturday, for the third time we summed up the results of the "Summer Season - 2004" competition, which was announced and held with the support of the exhibition management and the general sponsor - "Life at the Dacha" company. It's nice that the number of participants in the competition is increasing every year. This means that it is interesting for gardeners and summer residents. This time about twenty people went up to the podium of the exhibition, where the results of our competition were summed up. All of them received interesting and useful prizes from the general sponsor - the firm "Life at the Dacha", other sponsors: firms "Mika", "Hardwick", "Tim Dick Service", "Northern Garden", "Shar", "Poisk-Petersburg", TK "RET" - sets of seeds and fertilizers, greenhouse film, other goods for gardeners for the season. Our active author G. A. Kizima also offered her new book as a prize. And now about our winners. The first place was taken and received the main prize - a greenhouse "Convenient - 95" from the firm "Life in the Country", as well as seeds and fertilizers from other sponsors, - Elena Viktorovna Vorontsova, an active gardener and head of the gardening club in Kolpino. The second in this competition was last year's winner Natalia Valentinovna Denisova. She received a certificate from Mika for 2000 rubles, which she can use to purchase decorative or fruit plants for her garden. Greenhouse film "Svetlitsa"from the Shar company, the third prize-winner - Lyubov Andreevna Vlasova, also received sets of seeds and fertilizers. We were pleased with our awards - weighty packages with seeds of vegetables and flowers, sets of fertilizers, books from all other sponsors of the competition and all other winners. Summing up the results of the competition for gardeners, we immediately announce the next round of another, which has also become traditional, - the landscape design competition "Envy, neighbor!" It will be held for the third time. Its conditions are unchanged: tell about how you managed to create a wonderful corner for relaxation in your garden, on your country estate.
