What is chelated fertilizer

Chelate means "claw" in Latin. The main feature of chelated fertilizers is that the inorganic elements contained in them are located in organic molecules, which is achieved by using ethylenediaminetetraacetic acid, a special chelating agent.

Without going into the chemical subtleties, with which most of us are simply not able to understand, let us dwell on the effect achieved by the creation of such an organic shell. And the effect is obvious - the assimilation of mineral elements by plants increases by an order of magnitude, just as the assimilation of natural and synthetic "human" vitamins differs at times.

Thus, a small bottle of chelated fertilizer is as effective as a half-liter bottle of any organic or humic fertilizer, which, you must agree, is convenient. In addition, the use of chelated fertilizers practically excludes soil contamination by undigested mineral elements by plants, which is often the case with mineral fertilizers.

This fertilizer is best suited for a group of ornamental foliage plants. In addition, in the initial stages of growth for almost all ornamental plants, as well as for garden seedlings, which need a high nitrogen content, in order to build up green mass as quickly as possible and increase the area of photosynthesis.

In addition, this fertilizer is ideal for so-called nitrogen-loving vegetable crops such as cabbage, celery, dill, etc.

Magnesium is the basic nucleus of the chlorophyll molecule, which ensures photosynthesis, and yet, as practice shows, many gardeners do not pay enough attention to this.

To soak the seeds before planting, prepare a solution of 5 ml "Uniflor-Micro" per 200 ml of water. The seeds are kept in a cloth soaked in this solution for 6-8 hours. If you want to bring the seeds to a germinated state, after the specified time, rinse the cloth with the seeds with clean water and continue soaking the seeds to the desired degree of germination.

If you have fertile soil on the site and top dressing with full mineral fertilizers is not required, you should only carry out foliar dressing with microelements.

There is a lot of potassium, phosphorus and especially nitrogen in manure, but there is a problem with trace elements. Their content in manure is unpredictable. Some of them are there, and some are absent altogether. In order to balance the microelement nutrition of crops, it is necessary to do foliar dressing with micronutrient fertilization, in which the presence of all the necessary microelements in the right ratio is guaranteed.

Foliar dressing with microelements should be done 1-2 times a month, combined with watering. Consumption rate - 1 ml "Uniflor-Micro" for 5-10 sq.m. when diluted not less than 1: 10000 (per 10 l). For example, add 20 ml of "Uniflor-Micro" to a standard 200 l barrel and use it as water for irrigation on an area of 100 - 200 sq.m. For dosing, it is convenient to use a 5-10 ml disposable syringe.
