Our competition "Summer Season 2"
For a long time I did not dare to take part in the competition of gardeners "Summer Season-2". And then I took the photographs, which captured the best corners of the garden and the garden and the results of our work, to the college where I work, and showed them to colleagues and students. They unanimously advised to take part in the competition and themselves identified the photos in all the nominations proposed in the "Flora Price" magazine.
Our dacha is located 57 km behind Sinyavino along the Murmansk highway. Together with my husband and mother, we try to do everything with our own hands: plant, dig, build, paint, etc. On the site we grow everything that is necessary for the family, as well as our favorite plants: a lot of flowers are my favorite pastime and hobby.
I like to experiment, plant new things, alter something, create again, and if it doesn’t work out, I don’t get upset. My slogan is: "If you don't plant it - you won't see it!"
Last summer in our area the weather was not very favorable for many crops, but the harvest was still good. Excellent cucumbers were born - we usually plant four or five varieties, and one of them is necessarily new, last season it was a Spring F1 hybrid, we liked it.
One of our favorite crops, like many gardeners, is tomatoes. There were 8 varieties of them in the greenhouse. Despite the vagaries of the weather, tomatoes also responded to the care and maintenance of the crop. The black tomatoes of the Chernomor variety were especially surprised - they were tasty and large. And the fruits of the Ox Heart variety (see photo in the greenhouse) pulled 800 grams.
We plant tomatoes and cucumbers in the greenhouse after the first harvest of radishes and greens, which we sow there in early April.
I find a place for a watermelon and a melon in the greenhouse. The watermelon last summer grew 1 kg 400 g, and the melon turned out to be small - 900 grams, but was very fragrant. Gathered that year a large harvest of strawberries (varieties Zenit, Festivalnaya and Sweet Harvest) and plums. Ornamental cabbage, of course, not for the harvest, but how did it decorate our garden!
I have a hobby - I grow cucumbers in bottles. To do this, I place a small cucumber embryo in any jar and grow it there to any size. Then I fill this cucumber with about 300 alcohol, or vodka. It keeps very well. The result is great gifts for friends and acquaintances. In the same way, I fill glass containers with bitter peppers - nice and can be used.
In general, I can talk about my garden for a long time, but I think that it simply will not work to describe everything. I think readers will get some idea of him from the photographs we took last summer.

How To Make Work Easier In The Country: Using APIs And Hydrogels
It must be admitted that a considerable part of the time we spend in the summer in the garden is spent on numerous and literally maddening feeding. However, there is a way out, you just have to switch from conventional mineral fertilizers to APIONs ( fertilizers with long-term action ). This will allow you to get rid of grueling feeding, and throughout the season you will only need to water the plants

The vegetable beds, the space under the bushes of currants, gooseberries, raspberries and strawberries are best mulched. Mulch will allow you to abandon loosening, reduce the number of irrigations and reduce the activity of weed growth
How To Make Work Easier In The Country: Loosening The Soil Instead Of Digging
A significant part of the gardening work is the fight against the consequences of digging ( and we are recommended to dig even twice a season - in spring and autumn ) and constant exposure of the soil. At the same time, you spend an insane amount of time digging and completely pointlessly strain your back, and this does not make plants grow better
