Greenhouse

Last summer I was visiting the Kuban. And I saw at the local villagers some kind of a small greenhouse, arranged right in the ground.

I measured this little house, asked its owners and made sure of its effectiveness. Therefore, now I offer it to you. Maybe someone will like it. And, really, he deserves it (see picture).

In a shaded area of the plot in the direction from north to south, dig a rectangular groove 30-35 centimeters deep and 35-40 centimeters wide (pos. 1). The length can be any. Pour the substrate on its bottom with a layer of about 10 centimeters (pos. 7). On top of it - another 2-3 centimeters of clean sand (pos. 6). The remaining space to the top of the groove is sufficient both for the cuttings themselves and for their growth. Knock off the frame according to the size of the dug groove from any suitable material (pos. 2), pull 2-3 layers of linen or gauze over it (pos. 3). Water the soil along the edges of the groove abundantly and tamp well. Water the sand abundantly and plant the cuttings of the plants in it (pos. 5). Cover the greenhouse with a frame, tilting it towards the south. To do this, add a 10-15 cm high side of the ground from the opposite side (pos. 4). Sprinkle the frame with earth along the edge and water it often here so that water droplets seep into the groove, creating a moderately humid environment in the greenhouse - almost fog.

If the frame was with a film, cold drops of condensation would fall on the cuttings, and in this greenhouse they are absorbed into the fabric. For cuttings, such a regime is most favorable. From time to time it is necessary to raise the frame and water the sand so that it is constantly wet …
