Our competition "Summer Season - 2005"

The joyful moments of my success, which came after the news that I had become the winner in the "Summer Season - 2004" competition, were supplemented by the main prize - the Convenient greenhouse. This prize of mine brought a lot of joy to our family, and then did a good service.

We set up a greenhouse in the garden strawberry beds, as it was the most suitable place. Between the strawberry bushes, since such an opportunity turned up, they sowed seeds of vegetables: lettuce, dill, radish - and got a vitamin harvest of spring greens at the earliest possible date. And the strawberries ripened in the greenhouse two weeks earlier than the one that grew in ordinary beds. After all, it often rained last summer, and in the Convenient greenhouse the berries were dry and sweet, the radishes and greens were very tasty.

The weather did not particularly indulge other vegetable crops, but still, at the end of the last season, there is something to boast about. For example, we have harvested a good harvest of onions of the Stuttgarter rizen variety - 40 kilograms! The bow turned out to be excellent, you can verify this by looking at the photo. These are the fruits of two years of work.

First, I bought two bags of seeds of this variety in the store, by the end of the summer I received a lot of onion sets. Last spring, I planted it in high beds in a sunny place - the rain was watered, and the plants were dry and warm. So by August, such a handsome onion has grown.

Cucumbers also delighted us. A new, very early high-yielding hybrid Gusarskiy gave an excellent harvest - the plant had small leaves, short side shoots (3-4 axils), the pulp of the fruit is dense, crispy, they are of universal use. I also liked the hybrids Liza and Pasarebo, they also gave a lot of greens. The harvest had to be removed every three days, and there was always a mountain of cucumbers.

My most favorite plants in the country are flowers. For example, all the neighbors came to look at our lilies - there were 98 flowers on one stem, the buds were counted all together, since they themselves could not believe in the reality of such a number of flowers. Then this lily-beauty bloomed for almost a month.

I have never seen a young blossom bloom. This attractive perennial plant has been growing on our site for a long time, but it bloomed for the first time last summer. A very amazing plant: you look and wonder - either flowers, or leaves are scattered on the ground.

I would like to share my experience with tulip lovers. I plant the bulbs not in the beds, but in pots, then I bury these containers in the time required for planting tulips in the ground in the right place and leave them until spring. In spring, tulips bloom early, and when there are severe frosts, I put the pots with plants in a greenhouse, so I manage to preserve beautiful flowers. When tulips fade, pots with bulbs, so as not to spoil the appearance of flower beds, can be placed anywhere, and where they bloomed, beautiful flowers can be planted.

I really love my dacha and my plants, every season I try to grow something new, unusual, or apply some new technology. And here the idea is often suggested by the magazine "Flora Price". And our whole family loves to relax and work in the country and bring ideas to life.
