Although we live in the "dacha" - in our gardening near Mgoy - no more than two months a year, we really love our little plot, which is no more than 13 meters wide and a little less than 40 meters long.

And even in spite of these small and inconvenient sizes for various agricultural work, we are trying to equip it so that it brings joy to our whole family and so that the interests of each of its members are taken into account whenever possible.

Therefore, the site has been conditionally divided into three parts for a long time. The first part, starting from the gate, is "children's". And although the children have already grown up, in this part of the site they still spend most of their time, arriving at the dacha.

From the road, along the fence, the "children's" part of the site is closed by the wild rose and chokeberry (chokeberry) widespread in our gardening, as well as honeysuckle, mock orange, cotoneaster and lilacs. Oddly enough, but planted quite tightly to each other, these plants still get along well. For several years in a row we have been planting a "mad cucumber" - echinocystus on the fence.

In the corner of the "children's" part of the site there is also a gazebo, a former old kitchen, near which bushes of decorative raspberries and roses are planted.

Most of the "nursery" is used as a playground for table tennis (I made a tennis table myself a few years ago), so numerous attempts to create a lawn here have not yet been crowned with success, since the sown and sprouted grass is quickly trampled by numerous players.

The second part is the actual flower garden and slides. The first slide, located next to the house, arose by accident, since there was nowhere to adapt the old concrete foundation from the greenhouse. It was a pity to throw it away, we had to overlay it with a small "hill" on which two large birches and two small mountain ash grew.

Later, lilies of the valley, two barberry bushes, Japanese quince and silvery elk were planted here, as well as wormwood - "God's tree", dicentra (on a grid next to birches), which, deviating from the shadow cast by large trees, created a rather interesting " composition ". Here, a little later, a small reservoir appeared, made of an old basin and lined with stones. Nasturtium was grown in front of the summer kitchen this year, and ampel begonia was grown on the open kitchen veranda.

I make "paving" tiles myself using old rims from barrels, which I fill in with concrete (I then remove the hoops and use them for further work). There is also a bench in the garden with an arch, which I made from the headboards of old beds. By the way, all three arches on my site are made of this material. The sides of the arch are usually "decorated" with sweet peas.

The "main" slide was partially reconstructed this year, as it has settled down well due to long and heavy rains. It is based on two pines, around which we form various ground cover and ornamental plants (several types of armeria and stonecrop, ayuga, irises, Kuril tea, evening primrose, monarda, herbal clove, etc.).

The arch in the background is intended for clematis, one of which has already grown up enough and blooms with purple flowers, and the other has not yet matured enough, therefore it is not very noticeable yet. A lantern is installed on the hill, it is connected with an underground cable to the main power supply, we turn it on in the dark.

It is made of a lampshade from a table lamp and a piece of plastic pipe with an embedded switch. Nearby, of course, looks like a "stone" bench. The only thing that saddens is that we live at the "dacha" mainly on white nights, and therefore the flashlight does not burn as often as we would like.

I made a pond using plastic wrap. For me it is easier and cheaper (a simple black film lasts 2-3 years) than purchased forms. I surround the edges with stones.

A dark blue vase among stones is discreetly connected with a thin hose (the hose has a tap that regulates the water supply) to a barrel for collecting rainwater from the roof of the house. This year this fontanel of mine worked pretty well, as there was plenty of water.

Neighbors who are fond of fishing last summer launched several fish into the pond, which, to everyone's surprise, survived the winter. True, they had to create conditions for wintering. Now seven fish live in the pond, mainly crucian carp.

There is another arch also designed for clematis. These clematis have already gained strength and delight us with powerful foliage and abundant flowering. By the way, there we successfully use canning (preferably high and narrow) cans, which accumulate quite a lot over the months of city life. I fix them on a bar (sold in any hardware store) and make the sides for the beds or flower beds the desired length. The space between the arches is most often occupied by flowers; lilies, tulips and asters grow here. There is even a tigridia. In the spring we planted cotton wool and phytolacca, we will look forward to the result.

The third part of the site is a "garden-vegetable garden". There are greenhouses for cucumbers and tomatoes with peppers (at one time even lagenaria and physalis were grown, but for two years now they lost interest in them), bushes of gooseberries and currants (red, black and white), raspberries, blackberries grow.

There are two apple trees. Naturally, we grow squash and pumpkins. Several beds are occupied by strawberry planting. Do not forget spicy plants: dill, mint, tarragon, garlic, onions. Onions, by the way, we grow different: food (batun, chives, for a turnip) and decorative (moth, fragrant, mountain-loving).

In general, there would be time, but there is always enough work on the site. And, despite fatigue, mistakes and failures in the difficult business of gardening, our small plot serves us, albeit for a short time, as a haven of peace and relaxation, and sometimes inspires us to new "gardening miracles".
