I noticed a regularity in art long ago. For some reason, summer, as a time of the year, does not enjoy special honor among poets, writers and artists. All laurels go to autumn, spring and winter. And at the same time, a certain part of the population, consisting of avid fishermen, is looking forward to summer with great impatience. At the end of a long winter, I dream of a float at night, which lies on one side or even goes under the water. Quiet backwaters are dreaming, I see splashes and circles on the water in the morning dawn. I wait and want the summer to come faster.

And now it comes. Today we will talk about what still affects the fish biting in your reservoir or river: what an angler should take into account in order to ensure a successful fishing. Let me just say that the factors presented here are only a small fraction of the total stock of knowledge. A good (bad) bite depends: on the correct selection of gear for a given reservoir; from the correctness of her equipment. For example, an incorrectly tied hook (jig) can ruin the whole fishing.

Luck depends on the weather (wind, rain, thunderstorm, frost); from the phases of the moon and the time of high and low tide; on the temperature of the water and on what kind of water it is - running or standing; from the flora and fauna of the reservoir; from the inflow of fresh water (oxygen) into the given reservoir; from atmospheric pressure; from water pollution (bloom); from the spawning period; from shipping and extraneous noise.

Fishing depends on the place of fishing and knowledge of the reservoir; from the season (time of year); from the lifestyle of a particular breed of fish and your knowledge about it; from the bottom relief and its natural quality (ridges, pebbles, vegetation); from the migration of one or another fish; from the food base of the reservoir; from a feeling of fear in the fish (predators appeared nearby); from your ability to find fish and attract it to a certain place (leave feeders, top dressing); from nozzles - animals, plants, artificial; from aromatic nozzles in the trough (top dressing).

Much depends on the skill of your fishing, on the speed of the bait, on the time of day, on the noise in the boat, on what kind of worms you have, on your arsenal of tackle and the quality of the line.

And from many other reasons, which we sometimes do not even suspect, without attaching importance to them. We hold a cigarette in our hand, and then we take it for the dough, putting it on the hook. But the smell of tobacco transferred to the dough.

Remember! In a box where there is access to air for worms, they remain alive and active longer. Baked bread and bread with caraway seeds in top dressing attract carp fish better than ordinary crackers.

Noise and light turbidity attract pike perch and perch (they were observed to accumulate near the dredger). The pike is cunning, even insidious, but at the same time curious. Perch loves luminescent (glowing) jigs. It must be remembered that on the ridges, when the bottom drops, the difference in water temperature remains, and in the overgrown bays near the coast, reed rot is observed, and there is a good bite. Oddly enough, but two almost identical lakes, located close to each other, sometimes have very different features. They do not take pike and pike perch on one of the lakes for the popular "Atom" lure. And on another lake from the third cast - a bite.

This is the secret of nature, they would have said earlier, but now we, amateur fishermen, are revealing these very secrets bit by bit. Do not get carried away by catching borer, bream, silver bream on the lakes, where there are pig farms along the banks and, in general, dirty water drains. Most of the fish there are infected with worms and tapeworms. Those who decide to actively engage in fishing should more often replenish their stocks of tackle with emerging new products. In winter, when I go to the shops, I prepare for the summer. But in the fall I am preparing for winter.

I know that fishing is a problem for many of us. Household chores, worries suck. Yes, it happens that the wife does not let go (especially in winter). You don't have to tell your family that you will go to Ladoga and the Gulf of Finland. Tell your loved ones about a wonderful small lake, where the water freezes to the very bottom in winter, and the wave in summer is no more than thirty centimeters. Of course, cheating is bad, I know. But it's even worse to keep relatives in constant tension. After all, you will still rush to Ladoga for kilogram perches.

The most reliable insurance both in winter and in summer is to buy a life jacket and carry it in a backpack over your shoulders. You should never lose your head, but objectively navigate the situation, not risk in vain.
