Exhibition of trends in modern landscape design

On September 15, the fifth anniversary International Exhibition of Floral Design and Landscape Design "Blooming Planet", located along the central alley of the All-Russian Exhibition Center and lasted for almost three months, finished its work. The main competition was attended by 27 landscape and flower expositions, performed by professionals from Moscow, Bratsk, Stary Oskol, Tomsk, Ulyanovsk, two participating companies from Germany.

The compositions "Eurasia", "Chinese Garden", "Corner of France", "Modern English Garden" created by them allowed the visitors of the exhibition to go on a journey to various places of our continent. Compositions "Garden of Lovers", "Crimson Bells", "Seasons in Russia", "And they turned into white cranes" gave a lyrical mood; compositions "The World of Begonia", "Merry Carousel", "Wonderful Creation", "Rainbow of Life", "Shaggy Bumblebee", on the contrary, - with their bright colors awakened joy and fun in visitors. Philosophical reflections were promoted by the compositions "The Tree of Knowledge" and "Pyramids". But the composition "Table Garden", which we especially liked, sent the big and small guests of the All-Russian Exhibition Center into a fairy tale - to Wonderland as interpreted by film director Tim Burton.

The participants of the exhibition and veterans paid tribute. In the year of the 65th anniversary of the Great Victory, compositions "War and Peace", "To Berlin!", "Vivat, 65 Years of Victory!", "In the Garden of Victory!" The last composition was created in contrast to the peaceful regular part with a wooden pergola entwined with greenery, an emerald lawn with arabesques, flowerpots with agaves planted in them and the consequences of the war - a burnt fence, barbed wire, a winged statue without a head, preserved in a box by a stone Cupid.

Students from the universities of Moscow, Bratsk, Yekaterinburg, Maykop, Orel, Tomsk participated in the Garden Miniature competition (9 expositions on the theme “World without War” and 8 surprise works on the theme “Victory Waltz”). Thanks to the rich imagination of students in their compositions "There will be no other land", "The symbol of peace - the sun", "Sign language - a world without war", "Eternal memory", "Poems about war", "Eternal flame - 65", " Salute of Victory "," Ship of Childhood "," Link of Time "and in the surprise works on the territory of the All-Russian Exhibition Center a couple of pigeons appeared, peacefully flying over the model of our planet, a ship with sails floating on the sea of white and blue lobelias, a wooden bridge thrown over a dry a stream, a multi-tiered five-pointed asymmetric star filled with flowers, an installation wall inscribed with poems about war, an eternal flame, an artificial flame that froze in the form of the number 65 …

The plant basis of all the compositions presented at the exhibition were begonias, petunias, marigolds, coleus, balsams, cineraria, ageratum, ornamental cabbage, celosia, lobelia, traditional for flower beds. Ornamental grasses, castor oil plants, hosts, cannes, tree-shrub representatives of the flora - barberry, turf, roses, mountain ash, birch, maple - were less common in the compositions. The Grand Prix in the category "Garden and Park Composition" was awarded to the Moscow State United Museum-Reserve "Kolomenskoye-Izmailovo-Lefortovo-Lyublino" for the work "Victory in the Garden!" The same prize in the category "Landscape and flower composition" was received by CJSC "KHOZU VVTs" for the work "Garden of Lovers". The rest of the participants in the main competition were awarded gold, silver and bronze medals. In the student competition "Garden Miniature" on the theme "World without War", the jury recognized the best work "There will be no other land", created by the team of the Bratsk State University.

Next year VVC will again be glad to host new and old visitors and exhibitors.
