Our seedlings can be bought directly in the nursery, or at many agricultural exhibitions and fairs held in St. Petersburg and Leningrad Region: "Agrorus" (annually in late August - early September at LenEXPO), at agricultural fairs in cities and large villages of Leningrad Region: Gatchina, Tikhvin, Volkhov, Lodeinoe Pole, Podporozhye, Kirovsk, Vyborg, Priozersk, Krasnoe Selo, Tosno, Kingisepp, Luga, Pskov, Novgorod, Chudovo, Petrozavodsk.

Pavlovsk Research and Production Nursery VIR was established in 1989. The founder and permanent head of the kennel is Mikhail Vasilyevich Lebedev.

The VIR nursery sells seedlings of fruit, berry and ornamental crops and flowers (perennials) of different ages, with an open or closed root system of the best varieties of domestic and foreign selection, zoned and promising for cultivation in the North-West region and other regions of the non-chernozem zone of Russia.

The main task of the nursery is the cultivation and sale of seedlings of fruit, berry and ornamental crops, high-quality, pure-grade planting material for farms, landscape studios and amateur gardeners both in St. Petersburg and the region, and for other regions of Russia.

All this time, the nursery has been working on the selection of the best zoned and promising varieties of domestic and foreign selection for the North-West region of the Non-Black Earth Zone. The originator of many varieties is the All-Union Institute of Plant Industry named after N. I. Vavilov.

Scientific and production nursery VIR closely cooperates with the department of fruit, berry and ornamental crops of VIR, providing assistance in the propagation of seedlings to restore the world collection, with state cultivars in Leningrad and other regions of Russia and neighboring countries.

One of the new activities of the VIR Research and Production Nursery is the production and sale of ornamental crops for landscape design, for mass greening of cities, towns and suburban areas.

The nursery works with large gardening companies, and also sells seedlings and planting material for summer cottages and suburban areas in St. Petersburg, Leningrad region, and other cities of Russia.

Apple tree

About 50 varieties of different ripening periods are available in the nursery, among which are the zoned and most popular apple trees: Papirovka, White filling, Melba, Autumn striped, Antonovka ordinary, Antey, Orlik, Tellisaare, etc.

The nursery's assortment also includes extremely rare now varieties: Belfleur - Chinese, Bessemyanka Michurinskaya, Arkad summer yellow, Ranetka tender, Medunitsa, Korobovka, Dream, etc.

We also cooperate with Finnish breeders, we offer the best Finnish apple varieties: Pirja, Make, Maikki, Tobias, Jattimelba, etc.

Pear

Despite the fact that the pear is a southern culture, we offer zoned varieties of this culture for the North-West, which are not inferior in taste to many southern varieties. These are primarily the varieties Lada and Chizhovskaya, and 8 more promising varieties of pears.

Plum is

represented in the nursery by varieties of various colors: from light yellow (Kolkhoz renklody, Kuibyshevsky, Soviet), red (Skorospelki red, round, Volzhskaya beauty), to blue, almost black (Hungarian Pulkovskaya, Michurinskaya, Prune Kozlovsky, Tulskaya black, etc..).

Cherry

The nursery has both felt cherry and common cherry varieties: Vladimirskaya, Molodezhnaya, Dessertnaya Morozova and others.

Cherry plum

This is, first of all, the Gift to St. Petersburg variety (author Vsevolod Leonidovich Vitkovsky), which is not inferior in appearance and taste to apricots. As a pollinator variety, the nursery offers seedlings of the following varieties: Pchelnikovskaya, Pavlovskaya yellow, Rubinovaya.

Sweet cherry

Black currant

The nursery has over 30 varieties of black currant seedlings. The best of them are the varieties bred by the famous breeder Ekaterina Vasilyevna Volodina: Veloi, Binar, Peterburzhenka, Delikates, Druzhba, etc. The varieties Vologda, Aleander, Pigmey, Intercontinental, etc. have also shown themselves to be excellent. We also offer black currant seedlings of the Vertti variety with an unusual green color of berries.

Red currant The

nursery offers 15 varieties of this culture. Among them are the well-proven currant varieties Nenaglyadnaya, Rolan, Detvan, Rollada, Jonker Van Tets.

There are even varieties of sweet red currants: Dutch pink, Belarusian pink, Rassvetnaya. We also have varieties with cream and white colors - Margaritar, Smolyaninovskaya.

Raspberries

The raspberry varieties offered by our nursery (about 30) will delight you for many years.

These are the best varieties of different breeders: Taganka, Sputnitsa, Modest, Balsam, Rubinovaya, Kolokolchik, Troyana, Meteor, Bryanskaya, Illusion, etc.; yellow-fruited: Sweet, Yellow giant, Finnish yellow; remontant variety - Indian summer; black-fruited - Siberian Far East.

Gooseberries

We offer more than 30 varieties, with completely different colors of berries (white, yellow, orange, green, red, blue, black).

These are zoned ones: Krasnoslavyansky, Hinnomainen Punainen, Kamenyar, White nights and promising ones: Masheka, Malachite, Kuibyshevsky black-fruited, Chelyabinsky weakly spiked, Plum, etc.

Honeysuckle

This is the best baby treat with all the properties of blueberries and blueberries combined. We have many varieties bred at the Pavlovsk experimental station of the VIR by the leading breeder Maria Nikolaevna Plekhanova. These varieties are large-fruited and have excellent taste, and many do not have the bitterness like their predecessors.

It remains only to list a few: Morena, Nymph, Amphora, Violet, Volkhova, Sodruzhestvo, Malvina, Lebedushka and many others, more than 30 in total. And since 2005, several more varieties have appeared in the nursery, bred by her students: Masha, Lenarola, Vlada, Koketka etc.

Large-fruited garden strawberry

Our nursery was not only engaged in the production of seedlings, but also studied many varieties of local and foreign selection over the years. Believe me, there is no perfect variety. But with proper agricultural technology, there are a number of varieties that deserve close attention.

These include: Divnaya, Surprise Olympiad, Carmen, Kama, Rusich, Slavutich, Vityaz, Tsarskoselskaya, Troitskaya, Venta, Dedication, a remontant variety Elizaveta. There are more than 30 varieties in the nursery.
