Video: How To Escape From Snails In The Country

I really love my garden. My husband and I have been engaged in its creation and annual improvement for eleven years. But in the past summer everything turned out so that even hands dropped, well, just a disaster! Half of all beauty was destroyed by snails. It all began in the summer of 2002, when the first pests appeared, we conscientiously collected them in plastic bottles and destroyed them.
A year later, their number increased so much that it was no longer possible to collect by hand, and therefore, although disgusting, they had to crush them on the spot. All folk remedies: ash, lime and even coffee - we heard about them or read in various publications - were like poultices for the dead.
We tried to use a drug for slugs and snails, but it was effective only for a while, until the next rain, and the drug, they say, is dangerous for pets. The number grew before our eyes, in the morning, it seems, they destroyed everyone - in the evening there are ten times more of them in the same place. They hoped that they would freeze out in winter, but they don't care about frost either.
And last summer turned out to be a disaster. All the plants in the garden were hung with garlands of snails. What a beauty here! Not only were the leaves and flowers in holes, but a huge amount of their black excrement was added. And from some flowers, such as marigolds, bare trunks remained. In general, hands down - all the work down the drain. What will be the coming summer - it's scary to think. I am addressing both on my own behalf and on behalf of all gardeners and flower growers to our scientists: help me find a way out of this situation. Maybe there is already some kind of anti-snail remedy that we don't know about yet. Help!

How To Make Work Easier In The Country: Using APIs And Hydrogels
It must be admitted that a considerable part of the time we spend in the summer in the garden is spent on numerous and literally maddening feeding. However, there is a way out, you just have to switch from conventional mineral fertilizers to APIONs ( fertilizers with long-term action ). This will allow you to get rid of grueling feeding, and throughout the season you will only need to water the plants

The vegetable beds, the space under the bushes of currants, gooseberries, raspberries and strawberries are best mulched. Mulch will allow you to abandon loosening, reduce the number of irrigations and reduce the activity of weed growth
How To Make Work Easier In The Country: Loosening The Soil Instead Of Digging
A significant part of the gardening work is the fight against the consequences of digging ( and we are recommended to dig even twice a season - in spring and autumn ) and constant exposure of the soil. At the same time, you spend an insane amount of time digging and completely pointlessly strain your back, and this does not make plants grow better
Fighting Slugs And Snails
A slug, as a pest, is known to every summer resident and gardener. This is a mollusc, whose body is covered with thin delicate skin, protected from drying out by mucus, and it is constantly consumed not only during evaporation, but also during movement. And since the mollusk is 98 percent water, it is vital for him to restore it. And it is in the years with wet summers that their mass appearance usually occurs
How To Deal With Snails And Slugs In The Garden
Heavy rains have passed, it has become warmer, which means that soon snails and slugs will appear in the garden, which will actively begin to "help" us to harvest lettuce, cabbage, strawberries and other crops. Are there any effective ways to combat these slippery pests? What will help defeat them?
