Kaba, Spanish 313, Krasnodar G-35 and others can be grown in the North-West of Russia through seedlings or sown seeds to obtain green onions (Fig. 7).

Pogarsky local improved was brought to VNIISSOK. Early ripening: from mass regrowth of seedlings to lodging of leaves 74-109 days.

Bulbs are round-flat or flat, medium-sized (2-3), weighing 30-50 g, with a pungent taste.

Nesting capacity is medium and small. Dry scales are yellow, of various shades, juicy - white, sometimes in the neck area with green.

The yield of the turnip is 1.0-1.7 kg / m².

Ripeness of bulbs up to 94%. Keeping quality is good.

Rostov local onion - a variety of the Yaroslavl region. Early ripening: from seed germination to lodging of leaves 73-93 days.

The bulbs are flat and round-flat, medium-sized, weighing 30-57 g, with a pungent taste.

Nesting capacity is medium and small. Dry scales are yellow, juicy - white.

The yield of a turnip is 1.5-3.2 kg / m².

The maturation of the bulbs before harvesting is 75-93%, keeping quality is 80-95%.

The dry matter content in the bulbs is 17.7-19.0%, sugars - 7.0-13.2%, ascorbic acid - 4.0-8.9 mg / 100 g.

Relatively resistant to downy mildew.

The local improved Spassky was brought to VNIISSOK. The variety is mid-season. Marketable onions are grown from sets for 90-100 days.

The bulbs are flat and round-flat, multi-primordial (7-10), weighing 40-52 g, with a pungent taste.

Nesting of bulbs is medium and small. Dry scales are yellow, juicy - white, sometimes with green.

The turnip yield is 1.5-2.7 kg / m².

The maturation of the bulbs before harvesting is up to 100%, the keeping quality is average - up to 52-66% of the bulbs are preserved.

The dry matter content in the bulbs is 16-19%, including sugars - 8-10%, ascorbic acid - 9.5 mg / 100 g.

Strigunovsky local - a variety of the Kursk region. The selection work is carried out by the Voronezh experimental station VNIIO. Early ripening: from germination of seedlings to mass lodging of leaves 77-98 days.

The bulbs are rounded, small-sized (2-4), weighing 45-80 g, with a pungent taste.

The nesting capacity of bulbs is small. Dry scales are yellow, sometimes with a pink or grayish tinge in the neck area, juicy - white.

The yield of the turnip is 1.2-3.3 kg / m².

Maturation before harvesting 49-97%. Keeping quality is good.

The chemical composition of the bulbs: dry matter 13.7-19.2%, sugar - 8.4-12.3%, ascorbic acid - 8.6-11.7 mg / 100 g.

The bulbs are round, running down, dense, with little buds (1-3).

The yield of turnip onions is 2.0-4.5 kg / m².

The dry matter content in the bulbs is 10-14%, sugars - 7-8%, ascorbic acid - 5-7 mg / 100 g.

In some years it is strongly affected by diseases and pests.

Spanish 313 - bred at the Biryuchekutskaya vegetable selection experimental station. The variety is late-ripening: from full germination to mass lodging of leaves for 110-139 days.

The bulbs are rounded, small-sized (1-3), the color of dry scales is light yellow, sometimes with a pink tinge, juicy scales are white, rarely green, the mass of bulbs is 99-145 g. The

nest is small. The taste is sweet and semi-sharp.

The maturation of the bulbs is 55-100%, keeping quality is poor during winter storage. Bulb yield - 2.4-4.6 kg / m².

The dry matter content is 6.5-10.3%, sugars - 5.1-7.9%, ascorbic acid - 5.3-9.3 mg / 100 g.

In some years, the variety is strongly affected by downy mildew.

Krasnodar G-35 - bred at the Krasnodar Vegetable and Potato Selection Experimental Station. Late ripening: from germination to lodging of leaves 92-140 days.

The bulbs are round and round-oval, small-sized (1-2), weighing 90-114 g, semi-sharp taste.

The nest is small. Dry scales are yellow, sometimes with a pink tint, juicy - white.

The yield of the turnip is 2.1-4.0 kg / m². The maturation of the bulbs before harvesting is 50-96%.

Keeping quality during winter storage is poor.

The chemical composition of the bulbs: dry matter 9.7-11.8%, sugar - 6.9-8.1%, ascorbic acid - 7.4-10.0 mg / 100 g.

Stuttgarter rizen - a variety imported from the Netherlands. Grown in a biennial culture through a sowing or seedling method. Medium early variety: ripens in 70-90 days after the growth of the seed.

Bulbs are flat or round-flat, small-sized, weighing 50-110 g, dense, pungent taste.

The nest is small. Dry scales are pinkish-yellow, juicy - white.

Bulb yield - 1.5-3.5 kg / m². Ripeness of bulbs is 80-100%, keeping quality is good.
