The Latin name for celandine is chelidonium, which means "gift from heaven". We call it: Russian ginseng, the herb of life, the herb from all impurities, the herb of victory. Celandine is one of the most affordable and easy to prepare home remedies. Moreover, you can use both fresh and dried plants. If you need to prepare a large amount of infusion, then they take a bush with a root, shake off the ground, cleanse it of dry leaves and foreign grass. The root must be washed, cut together with the stem, leaves and flowers into pieces no more than 0.5-1 cm and half-filled into a glass half-liter jar.

If you take dried herb, then it is enough to fill such a jar by a quarter of its volume. The jar is poured to the brim with boiling water, closed with a lid and after cooling down they drink 2-3 tablespoons 2-3 times a day 10-15 minutes before meals. For schoolchildren, the dose is halved, and for preschoolers, half the dose for schoolchildren is given. The effect of taking celandine infusion appears after the first day of treatment - a normal appetite appears, sleep becomes calm, the stomach is normalized, and the nervous system calms down.

After each week of taking this infusion, you should take a two-day break. Treatment continues until complete recovery. Infusion of celandine is used to treat polyposis of the intestine, bladder.

Celandine juice can only be prepared from a fresh plant. It has a yellow-orange-red color. Shake the dug plant from the ground, wash the roots, wipe it dry. Then cut off the tip of the root. Juice appears on the cut surface, with which you lubricate the affected skin surface. For an additional dose of juice, cut a piece from the root again. Repeat this until the entire bush is used up. For 2-3 days, the bush can be stored if you put it in a plastic bag, but it is better to slightly moisten the leaves of the plant with water.

If you need a lot of celandine juice or you need to prepare it for future use, then the prepared celandine bushes should be passed through a meat grinder. Juice is squeezed out of the resulting dark green mass, which is poured into a bottle with a screw cap, but for tightness the gasket should not be paper, but always rubber. The bottle filled with juice should be placed in a cool place, but not in the refrigerator.

During the week, the juice should be checked daily by gently unscrewing the cap to release gas as it begins to ferment. When the release of gas stops and the juice has calmed down, you can close the juice and store it for a long time. You can also release gases through the opening of the bottle closed with a rubber nipple, as is done when making homemade wine from berries. A hole is made in the rubber nipple with a needle, and the accumulated gas will escape through a small hole in the nipple. When fermentation is over, the nipple will be drawn into the bottle, after which the bottle can be closed with a regular cork. A bottle of juice cannot be kept open for a long time: after taking the required amount, close it immediately. Do not keep it in the refrigerator either. From the very beginning, pour the juice into the bottle in such a way that an air space of 1-2 cm remains from its surface to the cork.

You can start using the prepared juice immediately after preparation, liberally lubricating the sore spot with it. It will be absorbed within 2-3 minutes. The juice does not dry the outer part of the sore spot, but leaves it soft and protects it from infection, so there is no need to apply a bandage. After the first portion of the juice has been absorbed, lubrication can be repeated after 2-3 minutes. This procedure is done 2-3 times during the day. The more celandine juice is applied to the sore spot, the more time it will take for it to absorb, but the faster and more actively the treatment will take place. The main feature of celandine juice is that it begins treatment of the disease not from above, but from the inside, penetrating deep into the border of the diseased and healthy parts of the body, and from there restores damaged tissues.

It is equally important that celandine juice heals all skin diseases relatively quickly, without leaving any traces. Essential in the treatment is the painlessness of the entire procedure, which is especially beneficial for children. When treating eczema, fungal diseases, lichen, gout, rheumatism with celandine juice, one should simultaneously not only lubricate sore spots, but also take an infusion of celandine inside. As you know, before you treat your ears, you need to heal your nose. These two organs are connected via the Eustachian tube. For treatment with celandine juice of the nasopharynx, acute chronic otitis media, maxillary cavities, frontal sinuses, gums, adenoids, polyps in the nose and ears, you need to lie on your back, resting your head at body level, slightly raise your chin and drip 1-2 drops of celandine juice into the nostril. After 3-5 minutes, after a slight pinching, when the first drops are absorbed, you need to drip 1-2 drops into the second nostril and also wait 3-5 minutes. It is useful to repeat the procedure 2-3 times during the day.

Otitis media can be external, middle and internal. Otitis externa is treated with an ointment consisting of celandine - 50 g, lanolin - 25 g and the same amount of petroleum jelly. The composition is heated in a water bath for 40 minutes, insisted in warmth for a day, and after straining it is lubricated with the skin of the external auditory canal 2-3 times a day.

An ointment prepared on the basis of burdock root, celandine herb, calendula inflorescences and peppermint leaves, taken in equal parts, may be more effective. It is necessary to take 5 tablespoons of the collection and pour vegetable oil 1 cm above the herbal collection level, insist during the day, then warm it up in a water bath for 40 minutes, stirring, and after cooling, rub the ointment into the affected skin 1-2 times a day …

With inflammation of the middle ear, celandine juice is mixed with 70% alcohol in a 1: 1 ratio and 3-5 drops of the mixture on a cotton swab are inserted into the ear, after which they are tied with a woolen scarf. In case of otitis media, celandine juice is instilled into the sore ear. However, if the tympanic membrane ruptures, you should not drip anything into the ear - this can lead to inflammation of the meninges.
