About fashionable hobbies and their consequences

The fever with dietary supplements is the result of economic chaos, the isolation of the urban population from the earth. Would a peasant or a modern city dweller, who eats from his own garden-vegetable garden, have a desire to buy at exorbitant prices foreign beautifully packaged herb, for example, a "wineskin", if from this burdock (and this is a "wineskin") he has no forces can not get rid of?

Of course, a city dweller is often a young person or has just entered the period of maturity, accustomed to pill feeding, wants to live to the fullest, and, as he believes, not waste time cooking homemade food, but use all the possibilities of fast food, and then and advertised means to improve the functioning of certain organs spoiled by fast food after several years of its use.

Fast food - fast food

Any fast food contains preservatives, flavorings, etc. They are neutralized by the liver. For a couple of months, a healthy person can tolerate this meal rich in fats and fried foods. However, after this period, you are provided with gastritis or stomach ulcers. In addition, fast food food is also dangerous because food on the run is questionable in terms of sanitation and quality. Pies with meat, potatoes and mushrooms bought in a tent are especially dangerous in hot weather: there is a great danger of food poisoning. And if this food is supplemented with very cold drinks like Pepsi-Cola, then the digestive system is disrupted.

How does our stomach work? Warm food remains in the stomach for 2-3 hours, protein breakdown occurs. Cold food leaves the stomach quickly, no digestion occurs. A person cannot eat up fast food, he will have to eat again. Undigested proteins enter the small intestine, cannot be absorbed, as a result, the reproduction of harmful microbes begins, and dysbiosis develops.

In Sweden, data on the dangers of chips have been published. According to these data, high-temperature processing of potatoes produces a substance that scientists have associated with the development of cancer. Experiments on rats showed that those animals that received deep-fried potatoes developed cancer.

Do not think that the broth from cubes or noodles "pour boiling water" will solve the problem. This is also fast food. This food does not contain vitamins, proteins. But there are many preservatives, flavors and flavorings.

The food should have enough fiber. It gives volume, which causes the colon to contract. Refined foods have no fiber.

A hot dog contains 600 calories. And a woman needs 1000 kcal per day, a man 1250; A 300 g pizza contains 300 kcal, and a serving of fried fries contains 250 kcal. Therefore, fast food is the road to obesity. There is a lot of cholesterol in these dishes, food is fried in reusable fat.

What if problems arise after such a meal?

If you are not lazy, it is quite possible to prepare healthy and tasty food at home. Even borscht can be brought to work and warmed up. Yogurt, kefir, fruits, dried fruits, nuts are useful. By the way, there is nothing more useful and nothing more harmful than walnuts: in small doses (3-4 pcs per day) - benefit, in large doses - harm to the liver. You can bring a piece of boiled chicken and stewed vegetables. Even a scrambled egg sandwich is delicious and healthy food. Especially if you add cucumber and tomato. Bread with bran or rye flour is useful. You can make sandwiches with fish and lettuce from them.

Fruits and vegetables will satisfy hunger and thirst. Instead of soda, drink herbal tea, compote or fruit drink.

Don't be lazy, cook homemade food: health is worth it! For those who suffer from stomach and intestinal diseases, it is absolutely necessary.

In general, the main eating disorders are characterized by:

  • insufficient protein intake;
  • excessive consumption of fats (especially of animal origin);
  • deficiency of vitamins C, B 1, B 2, B 6, A, E, folic acid, beta-carotene and others;
  • deficiency of macro- and microelements (calcium, iron, iodine, fluorine, zinc, selenium, etc.);
  • deficiency of dietary fiber.

The relatively high consumption of refined food also plays an important role. There was a problem: on the one hand, it is necessary to reduce food intake, because there is an imbalance between energy consumption and its costs, and on the other hand, it is necessary to eliminate the deficiency of vitamins, macro- and microelements arising from the refined and insufficient food (in order to get all the necessary vitamins and macro-, microelements from modern food, it is necessary to use it in the equivalent of about 5000 kcal, and most of us are on a low-calorie diet).

What are dietary supplements

The solution to this problem has led to the development of technologies for obtaining biologically active substances in pure form from natural food sources. Abroad, preparations were put on sale that made it possible to compensate for the deficiency of certain nutrients (food substances absorbed through the intestines), as well as to exert a mild regulatory effect on various organs and systems of the human body. Such drugs are called biologically active food additives (BAA), or food supplements. Supplements are obtained from plant, animal and mineral raw materials, as well as by chemical or biotechnological methods. They also include enzyme and bacterial preparations that have a regulating effect on the microflora of the gastrointestinal tract.

I must honestly say that in terms of dietary supplements we are not yet ahead of the rest of the planet, for example, in Russia only 3% of the population take dietary supplements daily, while in France and Germany - about 60%, in the USA - 80%, in Japan - 90% … Dietary supplements have been used in the United States for 20 years, and as a result, they are most concerned with unnecessary excess fat in the world.

Apparently, the difficult economic conditions of many of us forced us to grow carrots, cabbage, onions and other vegetables and green crops in garden and summer cottages, which then go to us for food and do not need advertising. By the way, are not carrots or their juice, apples, parsley, beets, cucumbers, dietary supplements? Dietary supplements! And what kind. Look at their composition - it is not inferior to any of the nutritional supplements imposed on us to improve health. The most important thing is that they do not create disharmony of certain mineral elements or vitamins, after which it is not necessary to treat other organs.

Dietary supplements attract attention with unexpected names and well-written advertising actions. For example, drugs made from alfalfa are advertised. The Chinese called them Xueqing - pure heart. This is a Chinese-made dietary supplement, it is an extract of alfalfa saponins.

At the same time, an explanation of the physiological effect of alfalfa on the body is quite right: it contains high molecular weight alcohols (triacointol and octacosanol), which reduce the level of cholesterol and lipids in the blood, and flavonoids relax smooth muscles. Alkaloids help to lower blood sugar levels, saponins and alfalfa fibers are able to bind a significant amount of cholesterol, coumarin derivatives have a mild antimicrobial effect, strengthen the circulatory system.

Alfalfa has a wide spectrum of action - it promotes the healing of erosions, ulcers, open wounds, helps in the fight against infection, increases the elasticity of arteries, reduces the level of low-density lipoproteins in the blood, and prevents the development of atherosclerosis.

Alfalfa helps to reduce inflammatory processes, therefore it is used for chronic and acute cystitis, prostatitis, peptic ulcers, arthritis, rheumatism. It is able to bind carcinogenic substances in the intestine, especially in the large intestine, accelerate their excretion from the body, and suppress the development of fungi.

Indications: prevention of atherosclerosis; atherosclerosis, including cerebral vessels, coronary cardiosclerosis; increased blood viscosity; hypertonic disease; an increased amount of low-density lipoproteins in the blood due to an increase in cholesterol, triglycerides, phospholipids.

Another name for the preparation using alfalfa with the addition of cellulose: Meishi - slenderness, it uses an extract of alfalfa saponins with the addition of cellulose. 100 g of alfalfa contains 334 mg of total saponins. Indications: prevention of atherosclerosis; atherosclerosis, including cerebral vessels, coronary heart disease; increased blood viscosity; increase in body weight; diseases of the gastrointestinal tract.

There is hardly anything to object to the indicated indications of the use of alfalfa. The question is: is synthetic vitamin C better than the vitamin of living plants from their fruits - lemon, currant and others?

In this regard, one cannot fail to mention the fatal role of the use of synthetic vitamins for the health of many people. Vitamin C is used to prevent colds and other diseases. In case of flu, doctors prescribe up to 1 g of this vitamin per day, which is 25 times the maximum allowable norm and promotes the rapid absorption of iron into the stomach and intestines. And this leads to such a complication as hemochromatosis, when iron accumulates in the liver, pancreas, joints and heart, causing disease of these organs. In addition, an excess of vitamin C contributes to the destruction of the nervous system, causes insomnia, increased irritability, the development of Parkinson's and Alzheimer's diseases, provokes diabetes, stomach ulcers, and nephritis. Taking pills and other pharmaceutical forms of vitamin C is possible only after laboratory confirmation of iron deficiency. Chinese doctors forbid a woman nursing a baby to take this vitamin, as it can cause intestinal tract disease. In addition, scientists have recently found that the huge amounts of vitamins that the patient receives along with other drugs, increases the likelihood of the formation and development of certain types of cancer.

Vitamin A in excess causes tachycardia at night, headache, cold sweat, disrupts the metabolism and nutrition of the heart muscle. Excess vitamin D softens bones, causes liming of blood vessels. An excess of one or another vitamin disrupts their natural balance in the body, as well as hormonal balance.

Therefore, do not seek to fix your problems quickly with the help of pills, this can lead to new ones. Stomach ulcers are caused by: aspirin, cortisone, prednisone, steroid hormones and other drugs. It is estimated that a person should limit themselves to 40 mg of vitamin C per day. And patients with influenza are prescribed up to 1 gram of vitamin, which is 25 times higher than the maximum allowable norm.
