Promising pear varieties

Bere Moskovskaya

The variety was bred by the Moscow Agricultural Academy. Ripening period in autumn. Included in the State Register for the Central Region. A tree of medium vigor with a rounded crown of medium density. Fruits are of medium size (weight 111 g), pear-shaped, slightly asymmetrical, with a bumpy surface. The skin is thin. The main color is yellow, the integumentary color is in the form of a scarlet blush, which occupies a smaller part of the fruit (up to 1/3). The pulp is white, tender, very juicy, semi-oily, with a pleasant sweet and sour taste. The chemical composition of fruits: dry matter - 12.1%, sugars - 7.2%, titratable acids - 0.56%. Veles (Great Daughter)

A selection variety of the All-Russian Selection and Technological Institute of Horticulture and Nursery (VSTISP). Ripening period in autumn. The variety is included in the State Register for the Central Region. A tree at a young age with a spreading, then wide-pyramidal, medium-dense crown. Fruits are of medium and above average size, broad pear-shaped, symmetrical, without ribs. The surface is smooth. The main color is greenish-yellow, the integumentary color is in the form of a light orange blush. The pulp is creamy, of medium density, semi-oily, tender, juicy, sour-sweet, of very good taste. Fruit ripening is simultaneous, but the collection is best done in two steps, starting with the largest. The fruits are good for fresh consumption and are kept in the refrigerator until mid-November. Beginning of fruiting in the 5-7th year (from the year of growth in the nursery). The yields are plentiful and regular. With a large harvest, the fruits may shrink. Winter hardiness of trees is high. The variety is resistant to fungal diseases, has good commercial and consumer qualities of the fruit.

The variety was bred to VSTISP, included in the State Register for the Central Region. Ripening period in autumn. Medium sized trees with a drooping, irregular crown of medium density. Fruits are of medium size, weighing 100-140 g, pear-shaped, slightly sloping, with a smooth surface. The main color of the skin at the moment of removable maturity is green, in the state of consumer maturity - greenish-yellow, integumentary - in the form of a slight blush on a smaller part of the fruit. The pulp is creamy, medium density, tender, very juicy, semi-oily, fine-grained, sweet and sour taste with a weak aroma. The chemical composition of fruits: sugars - 10.1%, acids - 0.15%. Removable maturity occurs from mid-September to early October. The fruits can be stored in the refrigerator until December. The variety is quite winter-hardy, fruitful, scab resistant, early-growing.

Prominent (Bumpy)

Variety of selection VSTISP, included in the State Register for the Central Region. Ripening period is late summer. The tree is vigorous, at a young age with a spreading, then pyramidal crown of medium density. Fruiting is concentrated on the ringlets. Fruits are of medium and above average size, elongated pear-shaped, symmetrical with a ribbed uneven surface. The main color is greenish-yellow, the integumentary color is in the form of a light orange blush. The pulp is white, very juicy, sweet and sour, of very good taste. Ripening is non-simultaneous, it is recommended to collect it in 2-3 doses. Ripe fruits are better preserved on the tree, after harvesting they are not stored for a long time. The beginning of fruiting in the 4th-5th year (from the year of growth in the nursery). The variety is winter-hardy, resistant to fungal diseases, has abundant and regular harvests,high commercial and consumer qualities of fruits. The fruits are good for fresh consumption and for processing.

Children

The tree is large, at a young age with a highly spherical, then pyramidal crown formed by a few strong skeletal branches. Fruiting is concentrated on the ringlets. Fruits are small or below average size (60-80 g), short-pear-shaped with elevations (pearls) around the calyx. The surface is uneven. The main color is light yellow, the integumentary color is pinkish-orange blush. The pulp is creamy, juicy, sweet, of very good taste. Fruit ripening is uneven (from late July to mid-August). They are used both fresh and for processing. The fruits are stored in the refrigerator for about a month. The beginning of fruiting is in the 4-5th year (from the year of growth in the nursery). Winter-hardy variety,resistant to fungal diseases with high and regular yields and fruits with good consumer qualities.

Dobryana (Sentyabrina)

The variety was bred at the Sverdlovsk Horticultural Selection Station. A new early autumn variety entered in the State Register for the Volga-Vyatka region and rapidly spreading in the Sverdlovsk and Chelyabinsk regions, Perm region, Udmurtia and Bashkortostan. The tree is medium-sized, fast-growing, with a slender, non-thickening, broad-pyramidal strong crown, easily forming in a natural way. Fruiting is concentrated on spears and ringlets. Fruits are from medium (weighing 145 g) to above average size (190 g), one-dimensional, elongated-biconical, isosceles. The main color is dark green, later - yellowish-green with a blurry striped brownish-red color of medium intensity on the smaller part of the fruit. The pulp is yellowish, of medium density, very juicy, tender, without stony cells, very good sweet and sour taste. The fruits ripen by September 1 and are consumed within 30 days. When ripe, they do not crumble. Transportable, good for fresh consumption and various types of processing. At the time of fruiting, it begins at the age of 4-5 years from the time of budding. The yield is high and regular. The variety is resistant to winter frosts and spring frosts, as well as scab; not affected by pear gall mites.

Thumbelina

Variety of selection VSTISP, included in the State Register for the Central Region. Ripening period in autumn. A tree at a young and fruiting age with a rounded crown. Fruits are below average size, ovoid, symmetrical, with a smooth, completely rusty surface. The main color is yellow, the integumentary color is absent. The pulp is creamy, very juicy, sweet, of high taste. In terms of ripening, it is an autumn variety, but the fruits are capable of winter storage. Ripening is simultaneous, but you can collect selectively, starting with the largest. Winter hardiness of the variety is good, resistance to fungal diseases is high, yields are regular, but average. It starts bearing fruit in the 5-6th year after planting in the garden. Consumption is mainly fresh, fruits are stored in the refrigerator until January.

Ilya Muromets

The variety was bred to VSTISP, included in the State Register for the Central Region. Ripening period is winter. The tree is medium-sized, the crown is flat, thin. Fruits are small, with an average weight of 50 g, bergamot-like, smooth. The peduncle is long, thin. Memory of Zhegalov

Rapid variety,the grafted plants begin to bear fruit in the 3-4th year of life. The variety is highly winter-hardy, comprehensively resistant to diseases, productive with fruits of good consumer qualities. Skorospelka from Michurinsk

The variety, bred at the All-Russian Research Institute of Genetics and Breeding of Fruit Plants, is included in the State Register for the Central Region. Ripening period is early summer. The tree is above average in size, fast growing. The crown is pyramidal, of medium density. Fruits are below medium size, ovoid, regular in shape with a greenish-yellow skin that lightens when ripe. The pulp is creamy, medium density, without granulation, juicy, good sweet and sour taste. The fruits contain: sugars - 8.2%, acids - 0.78%, ascorbic acid - 13.5 mg / 100 g, P-active substances - 120 mg / 100 g. Fruit ripening begins in the third decade of July. This is one of the earliest pear varieties in terms of ripening in the middle zone of fruit growing. When ripe, the fruits crumble. The consumer period lasts up to two weeks. The variety is high-yielding, fast-growing. winter hardy,resistant to scab, but in some years the fruits are affected by fruit rot.
