Passionate amateur gardeners always strive to make their site more beautiful and therefore are constantly on the lookout for those flowers and ornamental shrubs that bloom for as long as possible, decorating the garden with bright and spectacular flowers.

Pelargoniums (geraniums) were the first to appear in my garden, their ampelous and bush forms, with bright inflorescences, securely settled in flower boxes on the lattices of an open veranda and in pots on the walls of the house. A little later, the first fuchsia presented to me appeared, which won my love for all subsequent years. Its original bells hanging on long pedicels with bent sepals appeared on the bush already in June, their number rapidly increased, and by August the bush was usually covered in buds and flowers.

And most importantly, the first September frosts did not destroy them. They survived these 2-3 nights safely, and then, even before late autumn, delighted us with bright and abundant flowering, unlike some of the annuals. Such, for example, as the beautiful zinnia, which is very afraid of spring frosts, and after the very first autumn frosts died completely. And graceful and seemingly fragile fuchsia flowers swayed steadily in the autumn wind, not fading even from frequent rains.

But everything comes to an end. With the onset of stable cold weather, pots with fuchsias should be transferred into the house, on cool windowsills, closer to the glass. In winter, fuchsias have a short dormant period during which they partially shed their leaves. Watering at this time should be extremely moderate, and with the onset of early spring, they should be cut off annually. Cut cuttings can be rooted in water and grown in small pots. And by May it will be a good planting material for the garden. If you plant them at the dacha in a spacious pots with light fertile soil, then they will bloom luxuriantly, luxuriously, subject to abundant watering and regular feeding.

Fuchsias hybrid have flowers of various shapes and colors - pink, white-pink, red, purple-red, purple. They are simple and terry. There are four varieties on my garden plot so far, I hope there will be much more of them. It is very easy to get carried away with her breeding, since this plant has great opportunities. Starting its cultivation from a cutting, the bush can then be formed at your discretion. You can give fuchsia a bushy, pyramidal, standard and even ampelous (falling) shape. I often got an ampelous shape, since the abundance of flowers bent the branches and they, closing the pot, took a hanging shape.
