Our competition "Summer Season"
This pumpkin growing method came up unexpectedly. Once in the fall, when the pumpkins were already harvested and they were ripening, I noticed that one of them began to deteriorate, which means that it can no longer be used as food.
I cut the pumpkin in half and threw it into the compost bin. A few days later I found a whole scroll of earthworms in it. I noted for myself: pumpkin is an excellent bait and food for them. This prompted its further application.
During the winter time, when our family eats up to ten and sometimes more pumpkins, I dry the peel and pulp from the seeds on heating batteries (they are very hot here), there are also bananas, apples, oranges, and that's all. it is kept until spring.

At the end of April, I make holes in elevated sunny areas - about 30x30x30, I pour half a bucket of dry pumpkins there, then another 15-20 cm of earth on them. I spill it well with warm water, cover it with black foil until the seedlings grow in boxes. This dried mixture will first be a biofuel, and then a fertilizer, to the creation of which earthworms are connected, converting biocompost into humus, readily available for plants. I plant seedlings already in the first decade of May under film shelters.
My pumpkins are rapidly gaining strength, and the only concern is to protect them during this period from spring frosts, for which I make an additional cover of thin lutrasil in two or even three layers. At the end of May - beginning of June, I take off all the shelters, and the lashes of pumpkins freely take their places in the sun. In the future - for the whole summer, no additional fertilizing, since the earthworkers will do it for me.
In the literature, they often write that pumpkins need to be planted in their original place after 3-4 years, but in my case they have been growing under clematis for the seventh year. There is a good sunny place, sheltered from the wind, a lot of free space for lashes, and the combination of flowers and vegetables is not bad.
In the past, completely unfavorable for pumpkin summer, I still managed to collect 24 pumpkins from 10 bushes, and I also received 40 decorative pumpkins from 4 bushes, which I grow in the same way and always in the same place - under the mountain ash, at the entrance to plot. I run their long whips along the rowan, so that by August the rowan, in addition to red berries, also holds two or three dozen small multi-colored pumpkins.
All this diversity is divided into two parts. The largest and most beautiful, having visited exhibitions, settle in the House of Gardeners. And the most delicious ones go to soups, cereals and casseroles, and their waste goes back to the ground.

Here they are, my two pluses. I sprinkle with the same soil using a flat cutter. And then - the most important thing: I cover the garden with 2-3 layers of ordinary newspapers, and on top - with lutrasil, which I fix properly. That's all the preparation

Pumpkin is a thermophilic culture. Here, in the Northwest, it succeeds well on compost heaps, where its roots receive additional heat. In order to guarantee a harvest of ripe pumpkins, I developed my own agricultural technique
