This property of the film also contributes to the preservation of a loose soil structure, prevents the formation of a soil crust, which retards the growth of plants, especially fragile seedlings.

Unlike black mulch film, silver "Stabilen®" mulch has the ability to reflect 40% of the incident light, which eliminates the risk of damage to plant roots from overheating. As a result, "Stabilen®" mulch can be used not only outdoors, but also in greenhouses and greenhouses. Part of the light flux reflected by the silvery mulch creates additional illumination of plants from below, which is especially valuable for plantings muffled by leaves, for example, garden strawberries.

The maximum thermal protection at night under the film with a clear sky and calmness is up to 5 ° C in open ground, and up to 7 ° C in greenhouses. Since the “Stabilen®” film - mulch is practically opaque to light, plants during the frost period must be closed daily in the evening and opened in the morning.

With the help of "Stabilen®" - mulch, it is possible to solve the problem of protecting the root systems of berry, flower crops, shrubs and fruit trees from freezing, since a loose layer of frost forms between the film and the soil, similar to snow and heat protection can be 10-15 ° C. This is especially true during the snowless period of winter. When decorating ridges, they allow gardeners to use only Stabilen® film - mulch and soil, no other materials at hand (boards, stones, etc.) are required. The ridges mulched by the proposed methods are convenient for using covering materials on them.
