We moved to a new home four years ago. The site was empty, only two pine trees grew, as well as two plums that we planted during construction.
There was no fertile soil on the site either - bare sand. The neighbors said that nothing grows here, since the land is bad and the water is leaving like in a desert. But I wanted to make my site beautiful, and we got to work.
They began to bring in land, peat, and manure. As a result, over the past years, we have already created a sufficient layer of fertile soil. In the first year, we planted several primrose bushes, two delphiniums, three aquilegia, as well as perennial asters brought from the old site, and several dahlia bushes. I started buying flowers: from friends, in the market, in nurseries.

At first I thought that I would only arrange a small flower garden in front of the house, and the rest of the land would go to the arrangement of a garden and a vegetable garden. But gradually I got so carried away that the flowers began to displace everything else on the site.
I wanted to have a variety of flowers: rare and not very, large and small, blooming in spring, summer and autumn. I wanted the garden to be always beautiful.
For four years I have been creating my flower beds. Now we already have a large collection of flowers, but I continue to acquire what I do not have yet, since each flower is beautiful in its own way. With the help of the children and my husband, two alpine slides and a small pond were made. Alyssums, various types of sedum, saxifrage, young, primroses, armeria, tiarella, herbal cloves, small bulbous plants - three types of muscari, hazel grouses, crocuses, galanthuses and others are planted on the slides.
From annuals on a hill I plant lobelia, mesembriantemum, purslane, marigolds "Mimilix", ageratum. On another hill, apart from alpine plants, small conifers grow: spherical thuja, junipers: blue, Cossack, creeping, cypress.
The pond is decorated with fern, hosta, daylilies, irises, catchment. A water lily, brought from a forest lake, is floating in the water. On the north side of the house, on our site, three small flower beds have been created, in which ferns, astilbe, hosts, rogers, volzhanka (aruncus), eupatorium (sapling), and basil plants grow. And there, despite the shadow, it is also very beautiful.

Last year, my husband built a gazebo in the garden. I planted climbing plants around her: honeysuckle, honeysuckle, climbing rose, clematis. Rose and honeysuckle have not bloomed yet, but clematis delighted with their crimson and purple flowers.
Hops are planted near the porch, which by the middle of summer rises to the roof, and in August-September the whole is covered with pale green flowers in the form of cones. Flower beds are also made along the path on both sides, along the edge of which hosts are planted in a row. They seem to border the path with their white-green leaves.
In the background of all flower beds, shrubs grow: lilac, buldenezh viburnum, forsythia, panicle and tree hydrangea, jasmine. They separate the flower beds from the garden, thus creating a complete composition. And between the flower beds is the green grass of the lawn, on which a pink almond bush blooms in spring, the Van Gutt spirea is covered with white snow, and the quince blooms orange-red.
In spring, tulips, imperial hazel grouses, daffodils are the first to bloom after crocuses, I have more than 10 varieties of them: both with a pink edge and with an orange one, yellow and white double, early and late, with a very delicate aroma.
Then in June, when there are still few flowers, cyanosis, orange chamomile, gravilat (swimsuit), dicentra, common tar bloom. The peonies in the garden are still young, so they have not bloomed yet. And then a real parade of flowers begins. Lupines of different colors are lit: yellow, red, violet-claret; bells of aquilegia, small petals, later pick up the baton of flowering delphiniums: white, pink, cornflower blue, purple.
Unusually beautiful irises: white, terracotta, purple, brown. Then annuals bloom: marigolds large and small, petunia, fluffy ageratum, fire salvia, nasturtium.
Lilies bloom: white, pink, peach; daylilies: yellow, lemon, burgundy, orange; liatris, echinacea.
In August, my favorite dahlias delight with their beauty. I have about 20 varieties of them, I really like cactus - Chereo, Summer Night, Bakkers Beauty, Motto, spherical - Ankress; from the nymphaean variety Festival with its huge white-pink-lilac flowers. Along with the dahlias, the red-leaved canna blooms in good weather. Last summer, roses bloomed for the first time: yellow-pink, red and scarlet small-colored.
Starting from July and in August, replacing each other, phlox blooms: white, pink, crimson, purple and others, telling us about the approach of autumn.
Chrysanthemums, annual and perennial asters bloom, panicle hydrangea is covered with white caps. Nature gradually falls asleep in order to revive again in spring, delighting us again with its unique riot of colors and aromas. This year, the garden will be replenished: I bought a hellebore, blue hydrangea, black cohosh, David's budley and three types of tree peonies. So the garden will still have to make room and, I hope, our garden will become even more beautiful.
