Keeping a high-quality vegetable garden and doing design is very difficult at the same time. You have to make a choice: either a high-quality vegetable garden, or creating a design on the site.
My wife and I are gardeners. Our family cannot imagine how it is possible to live without our own vegetables and fruits and without their preparations for the winter period. Of course, gardening takes a lot of time. Vegetable and berry crops in the beds and in greenhouses are located on more than half of our plot of 17 acres. And my wife also has a place to take her heart out when growing flowers and ornamental plants.
Alas, everything does not work out right away, since our fantasies for arranging space are limited not only by time, but also by our wallet. Design requires an investment, so we set everything up gradually.
For ten years my wife asked me to create a cool corner in the fresh air on the site. On our rather large site, there was no place to chat with friends in the open air. And a year ago I was ripe for the fulfillment of my wife's wishes. Our relatives helped to find a place to make this dream come true, who wanted to take a photo by our small reservoir next to the willow. They were photographed under this tree, and it was clear that the energetics of nature had a very strong effect on them. This picture was imprinted in my soul, and soon an insight came to me: I suddenly realized what exactly I wanted to build on the site for the rest of the family and guests. I imagined an open gazebo under the willow, next to another, only covered, and a new reservoir. And everything smoothly passes - one into another.
I am not a designer or a carpenter, but thanks to a clear and voluminous vision of a future project, I easily found a way to quickly and economically implement my plans. I was going to do all the planned work myself. But as soon as I got down to business - I began to build the first bench, I suddenly had assistants: the youngest daughter and grandson. They took an active part in the manufacture of the recreation area. Construction is not an easy and difficult business, they quickly felt it on their hands - calluses appeared on them. But they did not retreat from creative labor.
And so the initiative was made - the rest corner was consecrated by their calluses, and our work started very soon. This activity brought great pleasure and became an outlet for us. As a result, we got three stylish benches made around the perimeter, each with a small table. Junipers and thujas are planted around the benches. Vertical landscaping is done on the east and north sides. The screen is made of curly beans - this is the final touch to keep the corner cool.
We have created a very comfortable and cozy place to relax and receive guests. We love to spend time in it, it is nice to have tea here. This living gazebo allows us to stay cool until 6 pm. Resting in it, we feel a festive mood and spiritual uplift, that is, we are charged with positive energy. This corner is a real decoration of our site. But this is only a small part of the plan. The plans are big, any business on our site is infinite in terms of implementation time and will always require new solutions and updates. This is my approach to the garden and greenhouses, and the same will be to the recreation area.
