Quit smoking

Doctors have found that smoking of a pregnant woman senses and reacts to her fetus. Such newborns are 20% more likely to be born premature and underweight. Traditional healer V. A. Ivanov, the author of the book "The Wisdom of Herbal Medicine" writes that he was convinced from his own experience how "the grandfather smoked the liver of his grandson, and the grandmother smoked all his offspring." It is important that a woman fumigates her fetus not even conceived, because a girl who started smoking, damages its eggs in the ovary from birth.

As you know, statistics are not only stubborn, but also ruthless. It has been established that the number of women who smoke has increased significantly over the past 10-15 years. There has also been a marked increase in the number of women with lung cancer. The female body turned out to be less resistant to smoking. It was noticed that women who smoke more often suffer from cardiovascular diseases, in particular from myocardial infarction, and this disease is more severe.

Osteoporosis develops earlier in women who smoke and is more often accompanied by bone fractures, especially compression fractures of the vertebrae. As a result of smoking, women develop wrinkles earlier, they age earlier.

Habit, they say, is second nature. Therefore, many people believe that smoking is a need, it is an established nature, but why change nature? So you can get sick. And no arguments, like the standard medical assertion that a drop of nicotine kills a horse, does not work. Wits usually answer in polemics: "Do not smoke on a horse, so as not to walk."

Nicotine is the narcotic substance of tobacco. This is confirmed by the fact that both the pharmacological and behavioral processes that determine dependence on tobacco are similar to those that determine dependence on drugs such as heroin and cocaine. Nicotine is seven times more addictive than alcohol. Cigarette smoke contains up to 4000 types of harmful substances, of which 43 compounds contribute to cancer.

Smoking will kill about half of those who started smoking in their teens and did not stop during their lives. Why do teenage girls start smoking? Of course, curiosity, peer pressure plays a role and, of course, promotes interest in smoking by advertising that presents a smoking woman as free, independent, equal and slim. Some people are afraid of gaining weight if they quit smoking. But most often smoking is the result of promiscuity, and not freedom, as many imagine. It is useful to note here a subtle remark on this score by Nicholas Roerich: "Freedom is the adornment of wisdom, but licentiousness is the horns of ignorance." Many lovers of such freedom would find it useful to know the statement of Gene Kilborn: "Smoking cigarettes can be considered liberating only if death is considered the ultimate freedom."

In 90% of cases, lung cancer develops as a result of smoking, and this disease ends in a severe painful edematous form, when only injections of drugs save from terrible pain. The mortality rate of women from lung cancer due to smoking is higher than from breast cancer. The growth in the number of women and adolescents who smoke is frightening. This habit has become one of the predominant causes of death. Financial well-being does not reduce the risk of disease. In 1990, smoking-related diseases in the United States were responsible for the death of one in five deaths, with four being between the ages of 35 and 64.

In 80% of cases, chronic bronchitis is associated with smoking. The disease of the upper respiratory tract in smokers is more severe and prolonged. Asthma attacks are more frequent and more severe, and the risk of pulmonary tuberculosis increases. Smoking impairs the sexual performance of men. Smokers almost always suffer from gastritis and often gastric ulcer and duodenal ulcer. Smokers develop varicose veins and bone fragility. The facial skin becomes dry, wrinkled and gray.

Smokers have a huge impact on non-smokers due to the fact that they have to passively inhale smoke. Near a heavy smoker, a non-smoker can breathe as much smoke as if he smoked three cigarettes a day. Young children who live with parents who smoke are most affected. 30% of cases of exudative otitis media - a common cause of deafness in children - are associated with parental smoking. In the United States, sudden infant death syndrome is the leading cause of death in infants in the first year of life and is associated with maternal smoking. These statistics not only horrified American lawmakers, but also forced them to pass laws to strictly ban smoking in public places, and employers do not hire people who smoke.

In 1990, smoking-related illnesses accounted for 20% of all deaths in the United States, with more than 1/4 of the deaths occurring in people aged 35 to 64.

The WHO estimates that there are 1.1 billion people who smoke around the world, with 47% being men and 12% women. Medical science notes that especially great harm is done to the fetus in the womb when a pregnant woman smokes. 10 minutes after smoking a cigarette, the fetal heart rate increases to 150 beats per minute, and the body weight of such newborns decreases by 10%. It has been noticed that women who smoke have preterm labor and premature placental abruption twice as often as non-smokers. In the United States, sudden infant death syndrome is the leading cause of death in infants in the first year of life and is associated with maternal smoking. US statistics show that at least 6,200 children die each year as a result of parental smoking. This is especially useful for those whowho are so eager to master the American way of life.

Who knows who will be among those who will confirm these cruel statistics, who will be the loser? Only when it becomes very bad with health, some turn to the thought: how to stop smoking? Drugs reduce the urge to smoke. The most powerful means is one's own decision and the will to carry it out.

How to quit smoking?

There are recipes left by the Bulgarian healer Vanga: start by making a tincture of green oat herb. 2 tbsp. l. pour the crushed mass with 1 glass of vodka and leave for two weeks. Take 1 tsp. twice a day before meals. This tincture also helps with neurasthenia, insomnia, and metabolic problems in the heart muscle.

Not everyone likes to drink vodka liqueur. Take 2 tbsp. l. oats. Rinse them in running water and pour 1 tbsp. boiling water, boil twice and after insisting for 1 hour, drink 1/4 cup four times a day for 3-4 weeks. You can choose another method of preparing the infusion. Take 1 tbsp. l. chopped oat grains and pour 2 glasses of water over them in the evening. In the morning, boil for 10 minutes and drink like tea, which suppresses the addiction to tobacco.

Brew one glass of oatmeal in 1 liter of boiling water and boil to half the volume. After straining, add 2 glasses of milk, take 1 glass three times a day.

More complex composition: take 1/2 cup of oats, barley, rye and millet and boil for 10 minutes in 1 liter of water. Withstand a day in a thermos and take five times a day, 1/2 cup before meals, until an aversion to smoking appears.

The desire to quit smoking, perhaps, can be the strongest motive, but nevertheless, with the difficulties that arise in this case, especially if smoking interferes with the treatment of a disease that has suddenly overtaken, take a crayfish, dry it in the shade and prepare a powder, a small amount of which (10 g - about 1 tbsp. L.) Mix with tobacco (1 pack in 50 g). It is believed that, having smoked such a potion, anyone, even the most hopeless and inveterate smoker, will quit smoking after that. For those who smoke tobacco, they put copper sulfate near the pack of tobacco, which causes a strong aversion to smoking.

The smoker causes harm from smoking not only to himself, but also to those who are nearby and have to passively inhale the smoke. People with asthma experience decreased lung function when fumigated from the side. People with allergies and other respiratory and heart problems may be more severely affected. Young children who live with parents who smoke are most affected.

Therefore, those who suffer from a lack of willpower, but still want to quit smoking and do not want to force their loved ones to be passive participants in smoking, should be advised to use the recommendations outlined above. Perhaps those who have doubts whether it is worth pursuing a rapid smoking cessation system should first try to implement a gradual weaning program.

1. Smoke less!

  • a) set the maximum number of cigarettes smoked per day;
  • b) do not smoke on an empty stomach;
  • c) do not smoke on the go.

2. Keep the cigarette in your mouth less.

3. Try to choose low-nicotine cigarettes.

4. Do not drag on, it will reduce the intake of nicotine in the body by 10-20 times.

5. Smoke a cigarette no more than 2/3. The first puffs are less harmful, since nicotine is adsorbed, settles in the tobacco and filter. An especially large amount of combustion products (sublimation) of tobacco enters the lungs when smoking the last third of the cigarette.
