Features of two-color tomatoes

They are also characterized by multi-colored pulp. But not everything is so simple - in terms of taste, the two-tone varieties deserve the highest tasting rating. In our family, everyone who was involved in growing them, and then picking fruits, fell in love with them immediately. It's not only about the amazing beauty of the fruit, but also about the taste. The juice from them acquires the properties of a sauce practically without the addition of spices. We use this juice to prepare delicious borscht and other dishes with tomato sauce. Fresh fruits are very tasty in salads, as they have a wonderful soft and sweet taste. In addition, they have dietary properties: they are low in acids, and their high lycopene content makes them the best and most affordable medicine. Only one thing is bad - it's a pity to eat them! The largest number of varieties in this group are tomatoes with large round-flat fruits. Almost all of them can reach 700-1000 grams! But there are varieties with a heart-shaped shape.

Plant nourishing balm

And so that all these varieties are good for you, make them a nutritious balm and feed them two or three times a season. We have been using this recipe for many years. We like that it contains: boron, copper, manganese, iron, iodine. We call it plant balm.

So, we fill a two-hundred-liter barrel by 1/3 with mowed grass (any weeds), add half a teaspoon of potassium permanganate and boric acid, 1 tablespoon of copper and iron vitriol, 1 kg of chalk, half a bottle of iodine, 100 g of Baikal M- 1 , two buckets of compost (chicken manure), 0.5 kg of sugar or jam, a stick of yeast.

I stir the individual components in a bucket of water and pour into a barrel. I mix everything well and cover with a film. I stand it for seven days, stir it from time to time. When feeding on 10 liters of water, we take 2 liters of infusion and feed all the plants that we grow. The strained infusion can also be used for foliar feeding.

We begin to prepare the infusion as soon as the grass grows. We put the barrel in a greenhouse, during fermentation, additional heat is released, which is so necessary for plants in spring and carbon dioxide, which is useful for them.

Usually purely herbal infusions give off a not very pleasant aroma, but this one is not so poisonous. I advise you to add a lot more valerian to it. It neutralizes unpleasant odors. During the season we make two such blanks, since we have quite a lot of "clients" for balsam in the garden.

For those wishing to eat fleshy, sweet and fragrant tomatoes, which practically do not contain seeds, we can offer the above and other varieties for growing both in the open field and in greenhouses.
