Experts believe that this is facilitated by the use by the inhabitants of the islands on which this country is located, seafood - fish, mussels, seaweed and other gifts of the ocean and seas. But not only. A very important place in the Japanese menu is occupied by one of the varieties of radish - daikon. They have created hundreds of varieties of it, grow huge, sweet-spicy root vegetables and use it mostly raw.
But our radish is in no way inferior to the daikon. Black radish has a rich chemical composition. Its roots contain sugars, rafanol, phytoncides, the enzyme lysozyme - an antibacterial agent that destroys the cell walls of bacteria; fiber, there are many vitamins: ascorbic acid, beta-carotene, vitamins B1, C, E and PP, a lot of potassium, there is calcium, magnesium, iron, phosphorus, purine bases, choline, sulfurous essential oil.

It is this oil, irritating the stomach, stimulates the secretion of gastric juice, increases microcirculation in the walls of the stomach and intestines, thus eliminating congestion there. It is useful for intestinal atony (loss of stomach muscle tone), as well as for hypacid gastritis and duodenitis.
Fiber, which is abundant in root crops, also plays a positive role here. It is she who effectively cleanses the digestive system, ridding the intestines of harmful substances. Eating radish in food helps to eliminate dysbiosis, suppress pathogenic microflora.

When granulated sugar or honey is soaked in radish juice, they are taken in case of illness, one teaspoon three to four times a day, half an hour before meals. After using the juice, honey or sugar is added to the hole again to get a new portion of juice.
You can prepare this remedy in another way: peel the root vegetable, cut into pieces and place in a cup. Then pour sugar or honey over the radish. After a few hours (2-3 hours) juice will be released from the radish. Take it for the above diseases.
Also, fresh radish juice is used externally in the treatment of intercostal neuralgia, myositis, radiculitis, arthritis.
With frequent constipation, traditional healers recommend drinking 1 tablespoon of freshly squeezed radish juice after meals. Also make salads from it.
Black radish for urolithiasis

Black radish in the treatment of diseased joints
To obtain a therapeutic effect, a mixture of 300 g of black radish juice, 200 g of liquid honey, 100 g of vodka and a teaspoon of salt is prepared. For joint pains, traditional healers recommend taking 50-100 g of this healing mixture once a day in the morning on an empty stomach. The same mixture must then be rubbed into sore joints. If, after taking the mixture inside, suddenly discomfort begins to arise, then in the future you need to stop taking it, and use the mixture only externally.
Long-term practice has shown that grated radish accelerates wound healing, providing an antibacterial effect.
The same effect is obtained by using black radish seeds for the same purpose. But they must first be crushed and diluted with warm boiled water until they are mushy, and then they can be applied to the wound.
Contraindications
Black radish has many useful properties, but there are also contraindications. You should not eat it during pregnancy. It is not recommended to use black radish juice and the root crop itself for patients who have a stomach or duodenal ulcer, gastritis with high acidity, colitis, enteritis, exacerbation of chronic pancreatitis, organic heart disease.
